31 Days
Closer.

Thirty-one days of saying the thing you have been swallowing for years, and being heard all the way to the end of it.

One card. Fifteen minutes. Three answers.

Closeness does not arrive on its own. It gets built, fifteen minutes at a time.

You still love each other.
So why does every real conversation die by minute four?

The kids are down. You are on the sofa, a foot apart, both scrolling. You try. Can we talk about us?

His shoulders go up half an inch. You watch it happen.

Within minutes you are having the argument you always have, the one with the same three lines, and you both go to bed early.

Later you lie there doing the maths. If it were real, it would be easy. It is not easy.

So either the love has gone, or you are the faulty one.

You know this conversation

You did the maths at 2am and got the wrong answer, because you were handed the wrong sum.

Her experience

You rehearse it in the car. You pick the moment. You start gently.

Four minutes in he is explaining. Or defending. Or fixing. It just doesn't go anywhere.

You end up apologising for bringing it up. You say "it's fine." It isn't.

Then you sit with a friend over a glass of wine and talk for three hours without once watching your words.

Why can I say anything to her, and nothing to the man I love?
His experience

She says "can we talk" and your stomach drops.

You listen. You try to help. Somehow the help is wrong. You explain what you meant and that is wrong too.

So you go quiet, because quiet feels safer. She reads the quiet as not caring.

At work you run a room without a second thought. At home you cannot find the first sentence.

How do I give her what she needs when every answer I give makes it worse?
Both of you have tried

The big talk

Two hours at the kitchen table. You felt closer for a night. By Thursday it was the same.

Date night

Candles, a nice restaurant, the good bottle. You talked about the kids and the house. Again.

The book or the podcast

You both understand your attachment styles now. You can explain exactly why you go quiet. You still go quiet.

The weekend away

New hotel. New city. Close for three days. Back to flatmates by Thursday.

A hotel room has no edges. Your body can tell.

Everyone sells you spontaneity. I build you a container.

The body does not open on command. It opens inside a container. A container is walls, a time limit, and a way back.

31 Days Closer is that container, one day at a time.

How it works

Fifteen minutes. One card.
The other person may say only three things.

THANK YOU
I understood you.
CLARIFY THAT
I'm listening, but I don't understand yet.
SUMMARISE THAT
Give me the bottom line.
No fixing. No defending. No "that is not what happened." You do not have to agree. You only have to understand.
01

Set a 15-minute timer.Phones in another room.Yes, both of them.

02

One of you reads tonight's card and answers it.The other replies with Thank you, Clarify that, or Summarise that.Nothing else.

03

At “Thank you” you swap.Same card, back and forth, until the timer goes. Each pass goes a layer deeper.

I have used this structure with over 650 couples. It is the difference between another conversation that goes nowhere and the one you have been circling for years.

Picturenight eight.

He puts the kettle on at nine without being asked.

Tonight's card asks the question you have both been stepping around for years.

He answers.

You say only “Clarify that.”

He goes a layer deeper, then another, and says a sentence you have never heard him say.

You say “Thank you” and mean it

The room goes quiet in the good way.

How the month unfolds

You never pick a card.
The month does it for you.

A new card unlocks each day. The warm ones first. The deep ones once the container feels safe.

Week 1 · Seeing each other

Warm and easy on purpose, so the structure gets to feel good before it has to hold anything heavy.

Week 2 · Understanding each other

The things you each assumed the other one already knew. It turns out they didn't.

Week 3 · Touch and closeness

The conversations about touch most couples never have. Asked inside a container, so nobody has to brace.

Week 4 and beyond · Honesty, repair, choosing us

The things neither of you has said out loud, and what you want to build next.

By now the structure is doing the holding, so the honest answer has somewhere to land.

Everything you get

It lives on your phone. It opens tonight.

Pay once and you land straight on day one. No app to download, no password to remember.

By day thirty-one you know the structure by heart. That is the part you keep, and it works on any conversation you bring to it.

In their own words

What happens when the cards come out.

Testimonial: the cards sparked fun, intimate conversations and brought us closer together Testimonial: the cards helped me connect more with my parents, siblings, family, friends and partner Testimonial: loads of fun and very insightful in understanding my partner

In Naomi's own words.

I asked my friend Naomi, a relationship and intimacy coach, what she likes about the cards.

"
She was sixty-two. He was sixty-four. They had not been intimate in twenty-three years. Three months later, they went on a second honeymoon.

Why Juliette

I'm Juliette.

I made these cards because I needed them first.

Fifteen years in the room with couples who love each other and cannot reach each other.

Over and over, I watched the right question, held by the right structure, open rooms that had been closed for decades.

31 Days Closer is that, one day at a time, at your own kitchen table. No therapist in the room. Just a card, a timer, and the two of you.

Couples rarely regret starting. They regret waiting until the distance feels normal.

What changes

You stop bracing before you speak.
You start looking forward to the fifteen minutes.

The real thing gets said

The sentence you have been swallowing for years has somewhere to land, and a person trained, by three simple answers, to receive it.

Being understood

Agreement stops being the point. Understanding becomes the point. The rows lose their fuel.

A habit that holds

Fifteen minutes becomes the part of the day you both protect. The structure outlasts the month.

Is this for you?

Who 31 Days Closer is for, and who it isn't for.

This is for you if

  • You still love each other and the conversations stay on the surface
  • You have tried talking more, and it keeps turning into the same row
  • You want a structure, not more advice
  • You can find fifteen minutes most evenings
  • You want to be understood more than you want to win

This is not for you if

  • You are in active crisis, infidelity or abuse and need clinical support
  • You want someone else to do the talking for you
  • You are looking for a quick fix without the fifteen minutes

Frequently asked

Isn't putting it on a timer a bit unromantic?

A diary entry has no walls. This is a room with a door your body knows it can walk out of, which is the only reason it will ever walk in. Fifteen minutes, three answers, a timer. The romance is what happens inside it.

What if my partner isn't ready?

Start on your own. Use each card as a journal prompt, one answer at a time, until the timer ends. When one person changes how they show up, the other one feels it.

What if we miss a day?

Tonight's card waits for you. Every card you have opened stays open. Pick it up when you can.

Do we need to download anything?

No. It opens in your browser on any phone, tablet or laptop, straight after you pay.

Is this a subscription?

No. One payment of £17.
